AbstractThe emblazonry and style of writing of Guo Ji Zi Bai Plate have the characteristics of the early period in Spring and Autumn, while the inscription is consistent with the style of the era from King Xuan to King Ping of Zhou Dynasty. Since the historical material is too limited to clarify the perdition of Western Zhou Dynasty, many scholars believed that Guo Ji Zi Bai Plate could be dated to the twelfth year of King Xuan. The second chapter in Xinian of Tsinghua bamboo-slips provides a newly-found official record of King Xie, which made great progress in understanding of this period. At the same time, it reminded us to reconsider the possibility about the date of Guo Ji Zi Bai Plate.
